I hold these truths to be self sufficient

[ music | Ash - A Life Less Ordinary ]

Today as I clicked around on the net, i inserted cds into the drive and got iTunes to "Import" them, for two reasons. Firstly, it means they will be on this computer and ill have something to listen to as i use the innanet in the future. But really im vaguely hoping that Isabel is yet to fill her iPod for her trip, and that it could well do with having stuff like The Cops, Supergrass, Placebo and Ash on it. So hopefully she will one day slap it on random, and Foxtrot Yankee, Girl From Mars, Scared Of Girls and Sun Hits The Sky come out, and Isabels indie cred at whatever part of Europe she will be in will go up a few oh-so-valuable scene-points.

When i move up here, im going to have to get a bigger hard drive and probably a dvd burner, as this wi-fi broadband action will undoubtably demand that i take advantage and start building the collection of Family Guys, American Dads and other happy shows that the modern humour lover with the innanet invariably must attain.

Today has been releatively unevenful - i havent seen all that much of my sister, but i havent really seen all that much of anyone. It was a shame, but not totally inconveniant, to have my plans for tonight dashed by a text message earlier in the day, hopefully though the trip to the lolly manufacturing plant can happen tomorrow evening instead.
So tonight will be dinner, as Erin Moss comes to join my family as we sit around, devour a roast chicken, and imagine what life without Isabel in the country will be like.
It sounds like they are well sorted out - they have a flat they can use rent free in Edinburgh untill March, and by then im sure une Isable will be more than ready to be hitting the continent...

Tomorrow at 6:15pm i have a chat with DJ Ajax, which should be a bit of fun, it would have been nice had it not been Ajax but instead one of the lesser djs such as Gud Da Hoodrat or whatever they are called, from sydneys notorious and wildly popular Bang Gang fashonista crew. Bang Gang intruiges me... the music they play is kind of on the right track, but misses the mark pretty much every time. They order in which they present their music has much more to do with faux hawks and stocks-punk than actuall punk or even clash stylings, and so its no wonder that im interviewing them in relation to two things - the release of their Ministry Of Sound compilation cd, as well as their second appearnace of the year at the terminally safe Friction nights.
Let it never be said that im precious about the image that electro had/could have had/should have had etc... its just that it would have been so much better on the phone tomorrow to be talking to a dj who isnt actually very good, as opposed to the remarkably talented Ajax..

My weekend was a disjointed mess.
From Cheese On Toast to One Night Only, to a fantasticly trashy party, i had for the most part an excellent time.
Most of my friends were on their best behavior, and noone hurt themselves too badly.
Cheese will be the death of us though. I played Scatman, Britney and Spice Girls.
One Night Only... more on that later.
Birthday parties make me want to destroy televisions.
