May. 26, 2006 - "Is that your phone, dear?"
Another work story! This is because exams are approaching, which means I've had my head down and ass up in books.....work has been one of the most exciting things that has happened this week.....although I'm going to a party tonight dressed as Rambo which should be cool.
So at my work, my department is at the entrance where the rest of the shopping centre connects with our shop. This means that we also have those electronic gates near us which are supposed to beep really loudly when activated by an electric tag which we place on goods. However, ours seem to go off if someone sneezes near them. Today an elderly lady and her daughter we walking through and the gates started to beep. Now most people tend to jump and then look embarrassed but the old lady just looked at her startled daughter and said
"Is that your phone, dear?"
