Christopher Lawrence

So, this past Saturday night found me at QBH, a bit sceptical of what kind of crowd would be in attendence due to QBH's reputation but nonetheless excited about seeing Christopher Lawrence live in person. Getting there at about 10:15 and not having a line at the door raised some concerns as to whether this night would live up to expectations.

Needless to say these concerns were quashed as my mates and I walked through the doors and were greeted by a decent gathering for so early a time on a saturday night. This motley crew of hardcore ravers with the flares, PHD heads, glamazons and fun loving people seemed to gel fluidly and were there strictly for a good night of good music. As the night grew so did the crowd as well as the anticpation for Mr. Lawrence to take the stage.

Sharp at 1 am he took the stage to an already heaving, vocal and packed out dancefloor ready for some serious tunes and he did not dissapoint. Being a smoker i was suprised at myself that for the entire time that he was on the decks i couldnt nor did i want to leave the dancefloor to light up. He had me locked in and like I wrote in one of the many messages I sent out that night to friends who didnt make it, he took me on a journey.

Suffice it to say the end of his set ushered in a mass exodus of the previously mentioned amazing fun loving crowd and was replaced with the muzzas of melbourne. As much as I love the trance genre I rarely attend such nights due to the crowd it attracts. Despite the shirtless musclemen the music was too good to warrant an early leaving of the night and while doing the rounds of the club I noticed that the club casualties were definitely out in force as the night grew on.

All in all I had a great night out complete with crazy music and the 2 cute lesbians who came up for random hugs.

blown away....best party ive been too for awhile....he really proved why he is currently number 1 in the dj ranks. track selection, vibe and quality of the crowd and Armin's enduring energy behind the decks combined seamlessly to make an amazing night of high quality trance and an overall good night out.

Looking forward to seeing him again in the future.

Carl Cox

To say im excited about seeing Carl Cox this coming weekend is an understatement about the size of the man himself. This is in no way to be taken as a negative reference, just a mere stating of the fact that i am really really really really really excited to see him live. Ever since i moved to melbourne in 2003 my best mate steph convinced me that Carl cox was a god among men in the world of djs. more and more friends of mine have confirmed this and if this weekends show is anything like the amazing show he put on last year im in for a treat or so i'm told.

Can't wait.

Sad and very short blog but its 11 25 pm and im tired.
